Club Etiquette

Appropriate dress within the Clubhouse should be consistent with normal standards of social or business formality, good taste, and neatness. Members are responsible at all times for ensuring that their children and guest(s) attire is equally presentable. The dress code below defines the minimum requirement for proper attire. The Club always honors more traditional attire such as sport coats, ties, and other modes of formal dress.

Club etiquette is essential for a smooth and enjoyable Club experience. Basic club rules are designed to ensure that everyone has a good time while maintaining a respectful and safe atmosphere. By following these basic club rules, you can ensure a fantastic experience for both yourself and fellow Members.

Dress Code

Hearthside, The Bar, Main Floor Patios

Men/Boys:

  • Tailored slacks or shorts are permitted
  • Tasteful denim is allowed (no holes, rips, or frays)
  • Collared, button-up, or turtleneck shirts and sweaters are appropriate
  • Graphic-free crew neck t-shirts or a long-sleeved shirts are permitted
  • Golf shirts must be tucked in
  • Hats may be worn on Patios only and must be worn bill forward
  • No tank tops, cutoff t-shirts, sportswear/fitness gear, or swimsuits
  • Hoodies are acceptable
Women/Girls:
  • Business slacks, or dress capris are permitted
  • Dresses, skirts, and dress shorts are permitted with tasteful length
  • Tasteful leggings and denim are allowed (no holes, rips, or frays)
  • Tailored shirts, blouses, tank tops in good taste, and sweaters are permitted
  • Hats/visors may be worn bill forward
  • No cutoff t-shirts, sportswear/fitness gear, or swimsuits
  • Hoodies are acceptable


Wildfire Grille (Formal Dining)

Men/Boys:
  • Tailored slacks/shorts, business dress pants, khakis, and chinos are acceptable
  • Button-down shirts, sweaters, or polo shirts are permitted
  • Blazers, sports coats, ties, and cardigans are optional
  • No tank tops, denim, swimsuits, or sportswear/fitness gear
  • No flip-flops, sandals, hats or hoodies
Women/Girls:
  • Tailored slacks/shorts, business dress pants, khakis, chinos, knee-length skirts, dresses are acceptable
  • Button-down shirts, sweaters, blouses, or polo shirts are permitted
  • No tank tops, denim, swimsuits, or sportswear/fitness gear
  • No flip-flops, sandals, hats or hoodies. Open-toed dress sandals (or heels) are acceptable


Downstairs Lounge & Pizza Garden

The Downstairs Lounge is our most casual dining space. All items listed in the above sections are welcome, with the addition of sportswear and fitness gear. Sportswear is defined as fitness gear, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies, gym or yoga shorts/pants, flip-flops, sandals, and tennis shoes. Denim and hats are acceptable. Hats must be worn bill forward.
 

Club managers reserve the right to use their discretion and seat Members with casual attire (no sportswear) in Wildfire Grille when necessary. Our team members will address violations in a kind and discrete manner to ensure each member is informed of the expectations. Additional violations will result in a formal warning and then be referred to the Board of directors as a member conduct issue. We want everyone to enjoy their membership and create a community of harmony and friendship and appreciate your adherence to this policy.

Golf

Golf Course | Short Game Area | Indoor Golf
  • Typical golf clothing is required, as exemplified by our golf staff and PGA/LPGA Tour
  • Closed-toed shoes must be worn on the golf course, outdoor practice facilities, and in the Indoor Golf Area
  • Hoodies are acceptable during spring and fall
  • Appropriate sportswear is okay in the Indoor Golf Area
Men/Boys
  • Must wear a tucked in, collared shirt, dress shorts, or slacks
  • Hats/visors must be worn bill forward on the golf course, outdoor practice facilities, simulators, and in the Golf Shop
  • No athletic wear, denim or cargo pants/shorts on the golf course, outdoor practice facilities or in the Golf Shop
  • Appropriate sportswear is okay in the Indoor Golf Area
Women/Girls
  • Must wear a sleeveless/short-sleeved shirt with a collar or a long-sleeved shirt without a collar, shorts, skort, or dress pants
  • Mock/blade collars are permitted
  • Leggings may be worn underneath a skort/shorts
  • Hats/visors must be worn bill forward on the golf course, outdoor practice facilities, Indoor Golf Area, and in the Golf Shop
  • No athletic wear, short-shorts, halter-tops, denim, cargo pants/shorts, or jogging shorts on the golf course, outdoor practice facilities or Indoor Golf Area

Fitness Center & Spa

  • Proper workout attire is required
  • Shirts and closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times unless a specific group fitness class allows for shoes to be removed
  • Hats/visors must be worn bill forward in the Fitness Center, as well as the locker rooms
  • Casual or tasteful sportswear is permitted in the Day Spa
  • Sandals are permitted in the Day Spa

Aquatic Center & Kids’ Corner

  • Swimsuits: Keeping with Club tradition, swimsuits should be tasteful and modest. Revealing bikini bottoms (or revealing one-piece bottoms) are not allowed. Cover-ups must be worn inside the pool building, including the pool office. Swimsuits are not allowed in the Clubhouse or golf facilities
 
  • Casual Attire at the Pool: Tasteful denim (no rips, frays, or holes) and fitness attire are permitted at the Aquatic Center. Footwear must be worn inside all buildings except the pool locker rooms. Cutoffs (shorts or shirts), tattered clothing, and cargo pants or shorts are prohibited at all times
 
  • Kids’ Corner: Casual or sportswear/play clothes are welcome as long as they are in good taste

General Rules

  • All guests must be accompanied by a Member while at the Club.
  • Articles owned by MCC are not to be removed from Club grounds without prior approval from the General Manager.
  • MCC is not responsible for the loss or damage of any member property.
  • Only notices related to Club affairs may be posted on Club grounds.
  • Automobiles must be parked in designated areas. Parking on any grass is prohibited.
  • MCC is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is allowed outside only by members and their guests.
  • Members are expected to direct all staff-related concerns to the Manager on Duty or the General Manager rather than reprimanding staff directly.
  • Dress within the Clubhouse should adhere to standard social or business attire, demonstrating good taste and neatness (see Dress Code).
  • Members are responsible for ensuring their children's attire meets our dress code (see Dress Code).
  • Except for service animals, pets are not allowed on the golf course, practice facilities, common areas, Clubhouse, or pool.
  • Dining services will remain operational during most inclement weather. In extreme conditions, notifications will be sent via email and posted on Facebook.
  • Cell phone use should not disrupt other members or guests.

Logo Use Policy

  • The use of the Midland Country Club logo (or any variation thereof) is strictly prohibited without prior written approval from Club Management. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of the logo is not permitted under any circumstances.

Hearthside
All ages welcome

The Bar
Children are permitted until 4:00 PM. After 4:00 PM, the minimum age is 16

Patios & Pizza Garden:
All ages welcome

Downstairs Lounge:
Available to guests 21 and older
  • All players must check in with the Golf Shop before starting their round.
  • Fivesomes or larger are not permitted on the course unless approved by the Golf Shop.
  • To minimize congestion, slow and inexperienced players are encouraged to allow faster players to play through. If your group is one full hole behind, you are not maintaining pace.
  • The time par for MCC is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Groups with fewer than four players may be allowed to play through, but larger groups are not required to accommodate them.
  • Please fill divots with the provided sand/seed mixture, repair ball marks on the greens, and rake sand traps after use, returning the rake outside the bunker.
  • No stroke other than a putt is permitted on the putting green. If your ball comes to rest on the wrong green (Holes 7 & 9), you may place it off the green, no closer to the hole, without penalty.
  • Members may play music on their golf carts at a low volume, ensuring it does not disturb others.
  • Users must be at least 12 years of age to access the Fitness Center.
  • Children ages 12-15 must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian.
  • Personal belongings (bags, coats, etc.) should be stored in the locker rooms or in a day locker.
  • Please clean equipment after use with designated cleaning wipes, towels, and cleaning solution.
  • Limit cardiovascular equipment use to 30 minutes during peak hours.
  • Return equipment (dumbbells, mats, etc.) to their proper storage areas after use.
  • Food is not permitted in the Fitness Center.
  • Beverages in plastic or stainless steel, spill-proof bottles are allowed.
  • Be mindful of your cell phone conversations, as they may be distracting to others.
  • Cell phones may be used for listening to audio or fitness-related applications.
  • Please sign in at the Sign-In Table when you arrive.
  • Pool toys (balls, etc) may be used at the discretion of the lifeguards
  • Food and snacks are not allowed in the pool area - beverages are okay- no glass
  • Alcoholic beverages or any other outside food or beverages (coffee included) may not be brought onto Club property
  • Cell phone use must not interfere with a fellow Member’s enjoyment of the Club
  • During peak hours, lounge chairs are reserved for adults only. Lifeguards and management reserve the right to request that your child forfeit their lounge chair for adult use if necessary
  • Children 10 & under or those who require a flotation device must be with an adult or babysitter
  • After dining, please dispose of your trash and return your plates to the window. This will allow other members to know your table is available.
  • Please return towels when leaving.
  • Parents must remain on the property while their child(ren) is in Kids' Corner or The Bunker.
  • Advanced reservations are always recommended, and standing reservations are appreciated.
  • If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so promptly. You will be charged for your reserved time if you fail to cancel before the scheduled start time.
  • Reservations will be held for a maximum of 30 minutes. If you do not arrive or cancel within 30 minutes of your scheduled start time, you will be charged the full reservation fee, and your spot will be released to the next child on the waitlist.
